[2024.2 Update] Today, a series of changes were announced for this card (ref. This article), here’s a rough summary of the Delta Reserve card:

  • Annual fee increased from $550 to $650
  • The following new consumption reimbursements are added:
    • $20 Resy Credit per month: After registration, you need to Resy.com Make restaurant reservations and pay with this card.
    • $10 Rideshare Credit per month: After registration, it can be used for rideshare consumption such as Uber and Lyft. Use this card to pay after taking a taxi.
    • $200 Delta Stays Credit per year
  • MQD Headstart: 2,500 MQDs will be given directly every year.
  • Free Upgrade: Cardholders can also be included in the Delta Upgrade List, but the priority is after Delta members.
  • Companion Certificate availability expanded: now available in the United States, the Caribbean, and Central America.
  • Cardholders are eligible for Hertz Five President's Circle membership.

DL Companion Certificate Rules

  1. Flights that can only be operated by DL
  2. Valid for round-trip tickets departing from the United States, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands to the following destinations: the United States, Puerto Rico, USVI, Mexico, Antigua, Aruba, Bermuda, Bonaire, Grand Cayman, Cuba, Jamaica, Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, Dominican Republic, Saint Kitts, St. Maarten, St. Lucia, Costa Rica, Belize, Guatemala, Panama, Honduras, and El Salvador.
  3. Book at least 14 days in advance and stay at least 3 days
  4. You need to use this card to pay the full price of the first ticket and the taxes and fees for the second one. The taxes and fees are probably a few dozen dollars. For domestic routes, you will pay a maximum of $80, and for international routes, you will pay a maximum of $250.
  5. Limited cabins are discounted economy L, U, T, X, V or discounted first class.
  6. A companion ticket can be transferred to someone else. Once issued, it cannot be cancelled or upgraded, and companions cannot earn DL miles.

Recommended application time

  1. You can only get the sign-up bonus once in a lifetime, so be sure to wait until the highest offer in history appears before applying!
  2. 【New】【Same series restrictions】AmEx has started to gradually limit the sign-up bonuses for the same series of cards: the high annual fee will affect the low annual fee.
